Williams-Sonoma has named Jason Edelman svp/Williams Sonoma Home brand, effective August 1.
Edelman was SVP/merchandising, furniture, for Restoration Hardware, his second stint with RH. The new role will bring him into the Williams-Sonoma organization for the third time. According to Edelman’s LinkedIn profile, he was a Williams-Sonoma buyer early in his career and later a DMM. He also held positions with Amazon, Frontgate, Houzz and Li & Fung, as well as Tilia.
Laura Alber, Williams-Sonoma president and CEO, said, “As we continue to drive growth in our Williams Sonoma Home business, including a 40% comp last quarter, consumers are responding to our repositioning of the brand as a furniture destination with a high-end casual luxury aesthetic. Jason is the ideal addition to our team, and I am confident his expertise in the home category and visionary leadership will accelerate the growth of this brand.”
